Are there mountains in Nebraska?
The elevation of the state is generally about 4,400 feet above sea level, and the highest point in the state is Panorama Point, at about 5,400 feet. A 1,000 foot mountain is still a thousand feet high, but it isn’t a mountain to anyone who has see, say, the Rocky Mountains, which are a few hundred miles to the west.
