Are there paid internships/field placements?
There are a few, limited opportunities to obtain a paid field placement. In addition, for those already employed in a social services agency, it may be possible to structure a “work variance” wherein the student can be assigned to another unit within the agency, with a different supervisor who qualifies to be a field instructor, and use this for their placement while continuing to be employed.
