Highway 70 was recently widened in the area next to Plumas Lake. Additional widening to 4 lanes on Highway 70 to Sacramento’s existing 4 lane portion of Highway 99 is moving forward. The plan is for this work to be completed in the 2009-2010 time period. However, the timing of such improvement can not be stated for certain, as it is subject to the availability of State of California funding. There are plans for two major interchanges nearby, one linking Plumas Lake Blvd with Highway 70, and the other linking Feather River Blvd with Highway 70. The County and CalTrans plan to start the interchange for Plumas Lake Blvd in the Spring of 2007, and finish it in 2008. A major interchange is planned at the intersection of Feather River Blvd and Highway 70. Construction is planned to begin in 2009 and be completed in the fall of 2011. To date, the Feather River Blvd / Highway 70 improvement has been improved with a signalized intersection. CalTrans has jurisdiction over Route 70. Yuba County h
