There are no definite plans for a traffic signal at the intersection, but the possibility is being considered.Benjamin T. Hughes, N.C. Department of Transportation assistant division traffic engineer, says the topic was raised at a recent series of Market Street Corridor workshops held to gather public input relating to land use planning, signal locations, nstallation of median islands, directional crossovers and pedestrian facilities. “The limits of the study were the entire length of Market Street from Colonial Drive to Porters Neck Road. The proposal at the subject location called for a future possible signal,” Hughes said.
