We can no longer sustain our current level of endowment spending given the economic environment. The distribution rate was 6.3 percent in fiscal 2009. The Trustees have asked the Administration to plan for a more sustainable endowment distribution rate that is closer to the College’s historic distribution rate of 5 to 5.5 percent, starting in fiscal 2011.
