Are there Poisonous Centipedes in Asia?
Actually yes there are… here is one that is acutally called the Asian Centipede… Physical Characteristics: Centipedes have long, flat bodies. Their trunks have many segments and almost all have 2 legs each. Adults in the family Scolopendridae have 21 or 23 pairs of legs, which are quite long and thick. The two last legs are very long and stick out backwards at the tail end of a centipede’s body. Its legs have joints and can bend. On the front of the head are two long antennae and under its head are two poison claws that end with a curved fang with a pointed tip. Centipedes may be as small as 2.5 inches long or as large as 12 inches long. Most Myriapods (both centipedes and millipedes) have tiny eyes, which can sense only light and dark, but cannot see color. Without eyes, their body surfaces sense light and dark. Tiny hairs on their bodies help them sense when something touches them. The antennae are waved around to smell and taste surroundings. Diet: Insects, spiders, earthworms,
