Cosmetologists may carry out a variety of different tasks during the course of a day, depending on the type of work they specialize in. They may be involved in coloring and styling hair, creating and maintaining wigs and hair pieces, giving manicures and pedicures, recommending and applying cosmetics, advising their customers on matters relating to hair and skin care, and carrying out administrative tasks such as maintaining customer records.
