The only dangerous sharks that may NOT live in the Med. are the Tiger Shark, the Pointer and the Oceanic White-Tip. All the rest I’m pretty sure live in the Med. The Great White certainly does. There is a permanent population. Many places just have the occasional (or seasonal) visitor. There is no ocean that is safe from some predator. If you step into the ocean your going back a thousand years. But hey, the amount of sharks that are left after the fishermen get through with them, and the sheer terror most sharks would have of coming anywhere near us should keep you safe. I have seen videos of Tiger Sharks fighting with Spearfisherman for a fish, and packs of sharks hunting mackerel around bathers. Apart from being extremely unlucky, the only reasonably sure way of being bitten by a shark (the oceanic white tip) you’d have to feign death after being lost at sea for a few days. You can narrow down your slim chances of attack to zero if you never swim at night (or dawn / dusk) and only s
