Are vegan and vegetarian diets a ticket to health or deterioration?
Vegan and vegetarian diets have been a rather popular stepping stone in nutrition for people who are concerned about their health and want to learn more. No wonder that many people turn to these ways of eating in our toxin-ridden world today. Genetically modified foods, chemically altered foods, inappropriate farming practices and mistreatment of livestock are all factors that contribute to the deterioration of our health and our planet and they are not limited to the United States alone. Veganism and vegetarianism, when carried out properly with clean, untainted foods and over a short period of time (granted that you are not pregnant, breastfeeding or battling a major health condition), can be very effective in cleansing the body of toxic residues and poorly digested food reminants.
