Yes. A victim of crime has the right to ask the DPP for information on the progress of the case involving them. As soon as the DPP takes over a prosecution we will write to the victim of crime. At that point the victim should contact the DPP indicating the sort of information they would like to be provided with throughout the prosecution process. This can also be done by completing the form available on this website. The DPP will then endeavour to provide the victim of crime with the required information.
