A. Many Xytex donors are altruistic in the sense that they deeply care about the consequences of semen donation, that they are helping others to have children. The question, however, usually is an inquiry as to whether donors receive incentives or monetary compensation for semen itself. Actually, donors must do much more than simply provide semen. Donors must fill out lengthy questionnaires, research their family medical histories, endure frequent physical examinations (including needle sticks), and even adopt a lifestyle consistent with clinical requirements.
