Are you using Cognos TM1 (formally Applix) for any purpose other than financial forecasting/budgeting?
I am researching Cognos TM1 for my Database Specialist certificate. I am very familiar with Microsoft Analysis Server but wanted to understand competing products. The Cognos TM1 product seems to be used heavily for forecasting and budgeting due to its strong writeback features. However, I wonder if TM1 works well for traditional OLAP analysis in other areas (CRM, sales management, marketing, manufacturing process management, etc).
