Aren t socialist countries anti-religion?
The issue of religious freedom under socialism is complex. It is not as simple as is often presented in the popular media. All socialist countries have substantial religious freedom. Some of those countries also have taken actions against those who they feel use religion in an attempt to politically attack socialism. In China, Vietnam and Cuba, there are many religious institutions, many millions who worship freely, many churches that are growing.
