Aren T5 lamps the future lamp for fluorescent lighting?
No. While T5 and T5HO lamps have some specific applications where they are very effective, general lighting will still be dominated by T8’s. The latest generation Super T8 lamps meet or exceed T5 lamp efficiencies, are available at a lower cost, have a much wider product availability, and do not require fixture re-design to the T5’s metric length.
