Aren the Newtons obsolete?
Apple no longer make the Newton, but they will repair them. The robustness of the machines has meant that repairs are required very infrequently. We have a large stock of them in-house, and we can obtain additional units if required. We are also looking for a next-generation device to replace the Newton, but as yet there is nothing better in the market-place. The form-factor, screen size, battery life and processing power of the unit sets it apart from competition such as the Palm Pilot and Windows CE devices.
