As someone who actually saw Sonics Rendezvous Band, what did you think of the Sweet Nothing release?
They did a wonderful job with that. The sound is as good as it gets from a board tape. Everyone who likes real rock and roll music should buy it. The Deep Reduction album is due out any day on Get Hip. Tell me a bit about it and the band you’re playing with in that project, the Stump Wizards (Jack tells me a second album and European and Australian tours are possibilities). That’s more of an ongoing band. We’re doing the second album next month, and I’m madly trying to put songs together for it. It’s more of a late 60’s type garage band, vs hard rock type of thing. I met the Stump Wizards while producing their album two years ago, and during those sessions we whipped out a single just for the hell of it. Get Hip did well with it and wanted more. Where there’s money, bands can grow. Those guys are cool. They are motivated and idealistic, two necessary ingredients.
