You pretty much have to go guerrilla style in a way, because it’s better to ask for forgiveness [after the fact] than to ask for permission. You’re not going to be able to block off a whole city street, but the state offers a ton of backgrounds, from city to farm to beach, that gives the camera a lot to work with. Being a skateboarder for years, I’m used to being kicked out of places. If you’re going guerrilla, don’t run when someone asks what you’re doing. Just tell them you’re hanging out, making a little film, and they usually leave you alone. So, no war stories about getting shut down by the police?
