Aside from India, where does the real wig hair come from?
Asian hair is plentiful, but coarse, so to simulate European hair it has to be chemically stripped. The best European wig hair comes from Italian nuns who grow and sell their hair for income to the convents. We are now seeing more and more use of synthetic hair. It is vastly improved from the early days of “Kenkalon”,the other main advantages are that it doesn’t fade and it’s non tangle…..dont put a hot hairdryer on it though…….sssssh.
