The bride and groom get ONE first dance. You can tell the DJ to make sure to play a list of songs you selected. I have gone to three weddings this summer. It’s nice to have a slow song here and there in the mix of the party music.

You can do a first dance and a last dance. The last dance is a solo dance by the bride and groom at the end of the night to end the reception. It’s usually used in a case where there’s no “send off” to let the guests know that the reception is over. I guess you could do a last dance then a send off, as well, if you just really wanted to dance together solo.
