Auto title questions. Need to transfer and what do I need to do?
Those answers are way too complicated. Take the title (clear I hope) and your daughter to a tag and title service or your motor vehicles department. What you will be doing is signing the ownership of the car to your daughter as a gift. In some states, the tags will not be changed. In all states, the fact that it is a gift makes it tax exempt. You might pay a small fee for the service, but it won’t be a wallet buster.
