Bush kept his promise to the American people that he would defend the USA against any further terrorist attacks on the Homeland. I think the entire nation was amazed at how clever the 911 terrorists were, please give Bush some credit for defending against further attacks for the past 7 years! Do you think countering all the terror threats to American citizens is an easy job? Why not place more blame on the Democratic controlled House and Senate…they are more responsible for the economic, social and military policies of the USA, not the office of the President…. The Democratic majority congress approved the legislation…..Why are you blaming the republicans? Democrats compose the majority of our elected representatives. It would be pretty hard to argue that Bush’s tax cuts haven’t helped the country enormously. You do remember the Democrats who claimed this was the worst economy since Hoover’s? They don’t look so smart now, do they? We’ve had how many straight years of straight economic growth? Unemployment rates sit at 5%, lower then they were in the Clinton 90s. All of this despite the ever-escalating cost of oil and the rise of China. This economy has had a lot of uphill battles, but the nation as a whole has progressed. Bush’s biggest faults in my eyes are his failure to control spending and his failure to get a grip of the illegal immigration problem. And I’ll continue to say the American people are freaking retarded to have turned down his attempts to privatize social security. Who chooses government bonds over other avenues of investment they’re free to invest in? It’s a horrible return on money.
