Can a banana tree grow from seeds?
This all depends on what you mean by “banana.” Wild bananas, like most fruits, have seeds and reproduce by them. However, these bananas have thick skins, little flesh, and look completely different. Over the centuries, bananas have been selectively bread until they form the delicious yellow creatures we know today. These, however, are seedless, as you may have noticed. To get a banana tree with your popular food-type banana, you must get it from a cutting, plantlet, or corm. Basically my answer: Wild bananas do, the bananas you eat don’t.
