Can a Beagle hunt anything beside rabbits?

Yes, a Beagle can hunt anything. Contrary to popular belief, they’ll track just about anything that produces a scent. They do well with rabbit’s and small game especially because of they’re size and speed. And I wouldn’t recommend larger game (bears, deers, wild bores…etc) because if they out run you and corner the animal, they’re won’t be much beagle left by the time you catch up. This is where long leash training comes into play. And they don’t make good deer dog’s cause the deer is faster. And the beagle will not stop as long as he get’s the sent. I’ve seen beagles run till they fall over. You can train them to not track deer, it’s difficult and you must have patience. But you can do it, we’ll cover that in more detail later.
