Can a childs car seat fit in the backseat of an extended cab truck?

Honestly it depends on the carseat and the truck and each case is different. I borrowed my moms bf’s truck a few weeks ago and while my middle childs high back booster (backup, normally he rides in an extended harness seat) fit on the rear seat my youngest child’s (BACKUP)carseat did not and I had to put him up front (with the airbag turned off!) I don’t know the situation, if you are considering buying a truck, riding with someone, borrowing, renting or what and I don’t know what kind of seat your child uses. The best I can say is try and see but be ready with either an alternative carseat, alternative vehicle, or use the front seat with the airbag off ONLY if necessary. The backseat is the safest place for a child under 12.
