The statute allows for cities to cooperate in a county’s greenspace program providing such cities develop a community greenspace program in accordance with Code Section 36-22-6 of the statute. A city that did not describe its greenspace program in the county’s application would need to develop a community greenspace program for Commission approval in order to receive grant funds independent of the county.
