Yes! However, you must verify your education. Some countries keep better records than others. Without valid records you will have to go back to school • Question: If the state I was licensed in only required 1500 hours of training, can I get Utah license and work here without going back to school for the extra hours Answer: Yes! However, you must document that you have a least 4 years of professional experience. • Question: Is a cosmetology license transferable? Answer: No. You cannot work under someone else's license. • Question: Do I also need to obtain a business license if I'm working in a booth rental arrangement? Answer: It varies by municipality-some cities require each cosmetologist to have an individual business license, some only require the salon to have the business license.
