Can a curved drywall ceiling be fire-rated?

0

Currently, USG only has U.L. designs for flat suspended drywall ceilings. Curved ceiling designs can not be tested at this dime due to limitations with the depth of the fire testing apparatus. If a curved ceiling is required in a fire separation application, then a flat ceiling needs to be installed above the curved ceiling in accordance with the fire resistive assembly design.
