Can a logo hamper the ANSI level of a safety vest?
It actually can if the logo is too big and covers up too much of the vest. ANSI Class 2 vests require 775 square inches of visible ANSI color for background. ANSI Class 3 vests require 1240 square inches of background material. Smaller logos aren’t generally a problem. A manufacturer like OK-1 has vests that are sized generously to fit over other clothing, and they are generally able to place logos no larger than 8 x 8″ on the back and 3 x 3″ on the front without affecting the ANSI standard. But if you’re not sure, call Esafetystore and More at 877-800-ESAF or call the manufacturer for more information. Return to top.
