Can a love bird survive alone?
Ok, yes they can survive on their own but need lots of attention, if it has already had a mate not long ago then it will probably fret and die, but if it hasnt had a mate it can survive on its own. I wouldnt get another lovebird yet either because 1. If you dont know the sex females might get really agressive toward each other. 2. It could be diseased, (make the other lovebird sick and die) 3. It could be somebody elses pet so dont be too sure yet. Check if it has a ring around its leg, if it does then it would have an owner, i know you might want to keep it but i would put up found signs or tell the local pet store if anyone has been missing a lovebird. It probably wont eat straight away because it could either just be still scared of the new surroundings, or it could be sick. You can feed it seeds (proper ones from pet stores) or vegetables and fruit. Make sure you ont feed it the seeds inside of the fruit though, just fruit or vegies will make it still hungry so try and get seeds or
