This is called “avulsion.” Such a tooth should be immediately reimplanted as soon as possible after the accident. If it happens, pick up the tooth and immediately immerse in milk or saliva to keep it moist and the supporting tooth structures alive. Take the child immediately to the dentist who will reimplant and stabilize the tooth. The earlier the reimplantation, the better the survival of the tooth.
