Can a restaurant or public house refuse to admit a disabled person with an assistance dog?
Answer Restaurants and public houses often have a ´no dogs´ policy. They should change this policy because the DDA requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments to policies. Assistance dogs are trained to high standards and would not be a health and safety risk. The Equality Commission has assisted a number of cases on this particular issue.
