Can a seller list with both and agent and FSBO?
Hello! A while back we looked at an FSBO house listed on the Buy Owner website. When we looked at it, the sellers informed us that they were just about to list it with a real estate agent, which they did. We subsequently made an offer on the house once it was listed, since we ourselves are working with an agent, but unfortunately our offer was declined. The house is now under contract with a different buyer. However, I noticed that the house is still listed for sale on the Buy Owner website. Does this mean that they can still sell it on their own, such as if they’re still under contract with the website, or is it just simply that their listing has not expired yet? I realize if it’s the first one that they’re still under contract and cannot accept another offer unless it falls through, but I’m just curious. Thanks!
