Can a snake eat a butterfly?

0

A snake CAN eat a butterfly if it is in range. A butterfly however, would probably not be its first choice to eat. For a small snake like a garter snake, A butterfly would have to be either or the ground or a few inches in the air for the snake to get it in its grasp. For a larger snake such as an anaconda, that would not be an issue, but the larger snakes will usually target small animals rather than insects.
