Can a spark plug b used in lower compression diesel engines?

Even a “low compression” diesel has higher compression than any gasoline engines. Most diesels run at 20:1 compression, whereas gas engines are considered high compression if we do 9:1 compression. The truth is… The Otto cycle engine actually is NOT very efficient, when compared to Diesel cycle or even the Atkinson Cycle. So converting diesel engines (by which, I think you man “engine that burns diesel fuel) to Otto engines (engines that use spark ignition) is somewhat backwards. The truth is, most poeple take “diesel engine” to mean engine that runs on diesel cycle (i.e. no ignition). Thus, your mod actually would make pollution WORSE. A company in the US called Sonex Research claims to be able to run diesel fuel in regular gasoline engines modified with their custom pistons and fuel systems. So far, it’s still in experimental stages, and it’s being tested by the US military.
