NO! If you die of strangulation, it’s because your trachea was crushed and you’re dead. No air passes. If this happens, you cannot talk! Period, end of story, you cannot pass air through your vocal chords and you cannot even whisper. Oh, and yes if you are smothered, you’ll probably pass out before you actually die but once you wake up, you stay that way till someone kills you.
