Can a Verizon Wireless contract phone (samsung u740) be made into a prepaid phone?
Yes, as long as the contract is complete. You will be required to purchase a prepaid starter package that contains a prepaid card; so essentially the package doesn’t cost you anything. I did this with a rival company. The starter package was $60(tax incl.) and contained a $50 prepaid card. Verizon has the same type of package.If your contract is not finished yet; you will have to buy it out. This can cost a few hundred dollars.
