Can a worker claim for an injury caused while travelling to or from work?
This is what is known as a journey claim. A worker is entitled to claim for compensation for an injury caused while traveling to or from work, provided that: the injury is not attributable to the serious and willful misconduct of the worker; the injury was not received during or after any interruption of or deviation from the journey, unless that interruption/deviation was connected with the workers employment or the purpose of the journey and the risk of injury was not materially increased because of the interruption/deviation.
