CAN AARON HENRY REBOUND?
Former walk-on Chris Maragos provided consistency, big plays and leadership at free safety last season. His emergence contributed to the strong play of the defense and the work ethic in the locker room. Maragos is gone, however, and Henry must fill the void. No one should question Henry’s work ethic or his ability to be a positive role model. What remains unclear is whether he can regain the form he showed as a backup cornerback as a freshman in 2007. Henry struggled physically and mentally last season in his comeback attempt from a torn anterior cruciate ligament he suffered before the 2008 Outback Bowl. The injury forced him to miss the ’08 season and Henry was up and down at cornerback last season before being switched to free safety in anticipation of UW having to replace Maragos.
