There should be no problems with using the acrylic mediums as glues for the papier-mâché process. The acrylics can be used in the same manner as the pastes and they do not discolor or become brittle over time. We would think most acrylics would work well for this application, but you may wish to look at the GAC 500 for the papier-mâché as it’s a little stiffer than the normal acrylics thus adding a little more support to the paper. The Soft Gel Gloss (straight or thinned with water 2:1) works very well as a decoupage/collage glue. The added water allows more working time, and also bubbles and brush strokes dissipate as it begins to dry. Mediums and Gels without the additional water can dry so fast they leave the brush marks and bubbles.
