Can AIDS virus spread through Roadside foods?
No. No one has ever got HIV from eating any food, including food cooked or sold by roadside vendors. You can get diarrhoea if their kitchen isn’t clean, but you don’t get HIV or AIDS from that. You can, however, get HIV (the AIDS virus) by having sex with a “roadside vendor”, whether he or she is male or female. It is best not to have sex with a “roadside vendor”, but if you do, make sure that you use a condom if you are having vaginal or anal sex. This is very important.
