Many flowers preserve beautifully. There are pretreatments that aid in the preservation of difficult flowers. I have successfully freeze dried coneflowers and daisy mums. Usually weddings flowers do very well in the freeze drying process. If you plan to use an unusual flower give me plenty of notice. I will not freeze dry a flower without experimenting on a flower of like kind at my cost first. I have freeze dried many types of flowers successfully.  more

While most flowers freeze-dry well, some such as bouvardia, chrysanthemums, and wildflowers do not. The most popular flowers to freeze-dry are roses, lilies, gardenias, freesia, carnations, orchids, stephanotis, peonies, lisianthus, alstromeria, daffodils, gerberas, daisies, delphinium, and calla lilies among others. Please call if you have questions about a specific flower. Back to the top of the page.
