Can AlphaLISA® technology provide a higher sensitivity than conventional ELISA?

0

Generally, AlphaLISA offers same or better assay sensitivities if same reagents are used. With optimization, AlphaLISA assays can achieve assay sensitivities from low pg/mL to fg/mL. The sensitivity of an assay, depends on the reagents (antibodies, standard potency etc) and optimized conditions. Compared with ELISA assays using the same antibodies, we found so far that AlphaLISA can achieve about 10-fold improvement in term of theoretical minimum detectable concentrations. In addition to sensitivity improvement, AlphaLISA has up to 106 dynamic ranges, and is a non-wash homogenous, automatable and high throughput assay.
