Can an asylum seeker appeal against a decision?

0

Unless the asylum claim was made late, purely to delay removal, anyone who is refused asylum can appeal on asylum grounds, this includes those who have been granted exceptional leave to remain. All decisions on someones right to stay within the UK can be appealed on human rights grounds, with very specific exceptions. Individuals may make appeals on human rights and asylum grounds at the same time. Asylum seekers who have the right to appeal are sent three documents with their refusal notice; a one-stop notice, an appeal form; and a statement of additional grounds form. The latter two must be returned within 10 working days. The system aims to ensure that the decision made at appeal is the final decision.
