Can an RTO record grades on a qualification or Statement of Attainment?
No. AQF vocational qualifications are competency-based. An RTO must not use grades (A, B, C, etc), terms (Pass, Credit, etc), percentage scores, or anything else that differentiates “degrees of competence” on certificates issued to clients. If an RTO is asked by a student or employer to report on the student’s levels of achievement, that information must be provided on a document separate from the certificate.
