you would need to aim for 20-35 gr, of fibre per day. Eat at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day -fruit juice does not contain fibre you need to eat the fruit if possible unpeeled. Also, try some of the bran crispbreads that are available RYVITA is very easy to find in any supermarket and my father loves GG Bran Scandinavian crispbread: it was recommended to him by his GP and it has very high percentages of fibre. It doesn’t taste great but you can get used to it. Muesli’s in the morning are also great and you can accompany it with probiotic yogurt that is also good for you. Try to find natural muesli’s without sugar which might irritate your bowel. Pulses are also great: beans, lentils they all have a high percentage of fibre.
