Ok here is what I’ve learned about antidepressants and my experience. Prozac doesn’t cause schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a illness you are genetically prone to or have developed after drug use. While hearing voices can be disturbing it does NOT mean schizophrenia. You have to have many other symptoms along with the voices to even be considered schizo. Now as for what you are experiencing, I can’t say for sure but it sounds like your restless…many antidepressants and antipsychotics cause this. The talking will continue until your body becomes adjusted to the meds (if you are at the right dosage) or if you take another medication along with it. I was having problems with restlessness and was prescribe cognetin…which helped a lot. Stopping the medication is very bad for you. You should NEVER just stop medications like these for any reason without first consulting your doctor.
