Can anybody tell me about Mexico City, Mexico??
Mexico City is absolutely fabulous. Don’t listen to the know-nothings who think they know it all. Geez. That’s all anyone ever says about Mexico – Don’t drink the water and the crime is bad. Being that Mexico is the U.S.’s neighbor, the level of ignorance about Mexico is just unbelievable. OK, now for the good news – Mexico City is fascinating. It’s very much like a large European city. The architecture is a combination of modern skycrapers, turn-of-the-century French colonial, and uniquely Mexican structures. There are wonderful cafes. The people are very warm and friendly (compared to most U.S. cities) and the food is SO good. There is history and culture to be found everywhere. If you have any chance to do so at all, you must get out and enjoy the nightlife – the clubs will blow your mind, and the smaller venues usually host live music.
