Can anyone define, Subclavian steal syndrome, in layman terms?

It is where the subclavian blood vessel(which is near the shoulder) becomes blocked or occluded. An Angiogram is the procedure of choice to diagnose this problem. During the procedure, if occluded the doctor will place a stent to try and keep the vessel open. This is a rare disease. Be mindful of other vessels that may be blocked as well. Check it out with your physician and ask questions.
