Can anyone help me potty train my 6 month old dachshund?
I have a 15 year old Dachsund who hates to go outside by himself, especially if it is raining or really cold. I have to walk outside with him and stay with him as he takes his time to get just the right spot. Dachsunds are very people dogs and need to be very close to you to be happy. He has to sleep in bed with me and under the covers, under the sheet so he can be up against my skin. He has his own side of the bed and when I wake up, he is sleeping under the covers with his head on his pillow. He is sooo stubborn that everything must be done his way or else he gets very upset. Dachsunds are very headstrong and hard to housebreak. I have had 3 now and I have not had a problem with any of them. I love the little weiner dogs we seem to be soul mates. Having said that, I sympathize with you and your little girl and found a site specifically for Dachsunds that you might like to read. I know these little guys can be headstrong so don’t give up and be patient.
