Sounds like silverfish but it could be a firebrat. A firebrat is a wingless insect that resembles a silverfish in appearance; firebrats are in a group of bugs know as bristle tails. This occasional invader usually becomes an indoor pest due to moist conditions around the structure During droughts, firebrats may also enter homes in search of moisture but are not known to be a pest that thrives or reproduces in our homes. Silverfish and firebrats move about more during the night and can often be seen in bathtubs or sinks where they have become trapped while searching for food or water. Firebrats can do some damage to books, paper products, linens and will chew on natural and synthetic fabrics.
